There is an Ancient Chinese saying:

“Cultivate the soil before you plant the seed.”

This Ancient parable applies to our garden and our own fertility

Tend your garden for at least 4 months before expecting to reap the fruits of your labor. It takes at least three months for immature eggs (oocytes) to mature enough to be released during ovulation. It also takes about three months for sperm cells to develop, ready to be ejaculated. This means that when you are trying to improve your fertility, allow a four-month period before conceiving. It’s important to take as much care during this 'pre-conception season' as it is during pregnancy itself.

Remember: “The Chi of the mother plant determines the Chi of the offspring.”

Traditional Oriental Medicine balances the hormones and replenishes our vitality, to prepare for conception and pregnancy. Through acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal formulas, diet, stress reduction and exercise, we optimize the quality of the egg and sperm at conception and nourish a blood-rich uterine lining favorable for implantation and for supporting new life for 9 months.
